June Crafternoon - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!

This month was an extra special crafternoon as it was our 1st Birthday! I think everyone will join me in thanking Linda D who decided she needed to start a therapy group for her craft addiction. What would we have done without her?!

Another thank you (yes this is like the BAFTAs) has to go to Lori, Kirsty and Dawn for the organsiation of the group.Without them the group would not be what it is today! And also not forgetting Sharon, although she may not be on the organising committee any more she did a fabulous job when she was.

To celebrate our birthday we had a raffle. Another thank you to everyone who donated prizes. We had enough in the end to make sure everyone had a little birthday present!

And the last thank you for this post goes to Linda D, Denise, Robina, Fiona, Linda W, Linda McK, Kim and Kirsty for supplying demos.

Raffle

We had lots of lovely prizes for the raffle from handmade cards and jewellery to dies, stamps and craft supplies.

Photo Smash Book

Linda D was making a photo album with some gorgeous papers. Linda has kindly supplied instructions.

Jewellery

Robina's group were making some gorgeous pieces of  jewellery. There were some gorgeous colour combinations and the end results were very professional!

Butterfly Framed Picture

Denise and her fabulous group were producing gorgeous butterfly framed pictures. Fantastic results!

Marbling

Fiona was showing her lovely ladies how to produce marbled effects. Each design was unique. Lovely work!

Thinking of You Card

Linda W and her group made some beautiful "Thinking of You" cards. I love the ones with the ribbon weaved in to the card.  Absolutely gorgeous, ladies!

Beaded bracelet

Linda McK was teaching her ladies how to make an intricate beaded bracelet and earrings. Once again some stunning colour combinations were chosen to produce some fabulous shiny pieces.

Bottlecap Fridge Magnets and Pendants

Kim and her altered art queens were making beautiful altered bottle caps. From something plain in to beautiful works of art that can be hung on the fridge or worn proudly around you neck. Kim has kindly supplied instructions for her demo that can be found here.

Perfect Pearls Card

Last but definitely not least is Kirsty's Perfect pearls card. It was lovely to see how the different colour combinations produced such different results. Beautiful cards!

As always thank you for taking time to read our blog. Please leave a comment, it's nice to see who has dropped by.
